Barkley is yet to make an appearance during the 2017-18 campaign but arrived at Chelsea following a £15million move from Everton in better shape than first expected.
The 24-year-old England international will not feature in Saturday’s Premier League clash at Leicester City but Conte is hopeful he will play a part in the cup clash against Championship outfit Norwich.
